City of Bridgetown Co-operative Credit Union Limited (COB) is aware of the impact of the COVID-19 virus on the lives of its staff, members and the public in general. We are keenly aware of how our daily routine has been affected by the current pandemic and as a responsible corporate citizen, we have acted swiftly to contribute to the national effort. Please see information below pertaining to your safety as it relates to our operations at this time.

WHAT IS COB DOING FOR ITS STAFF AND MEMBERS?

First, we instructed our staff and members that if they feel unwell, start to display any symptoms associated with COVID-19 or feel that they have in some way been compromised, they should not report for work and to stay away from our branches.

Second, we continue to use enhanced sanitization and hygiene practices throughout the organization to ensure that all routine interactions keep our staff and members safe. We urge all who visit our branches to take personal responsibility for their own safety and to use every available means to practice good personal hygiene.

HOW ARE WE KEEPING OUR BRANCHES CLEAN AND SAFE?

We have always maintained a clean environment however, in light of the current circumstances, we have instructed our service providers to enhance all in branch cleaning protocols and we have also introduced the cleaning of all hard surfaces in every public area on a thirty (30) minute cycle.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW IF YOU HAVE TO VISIT A BRANCH?

We are doing all we can to make your visit to our branches as safe and convenient as possible however due to reduced numbers allowed during this period the waiting period to enter will be a little longer than usual. Here are some things that you can to do to be more comfortable and safer while you wait:

  • Walk with an umbrella to protect you from the elements.
  • Ensure that you have bottled water if you get thirsty.
  • Have your own personal supply of hand-sanitizer.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ENTER

For your own safety and that of others, we are asking that members follow the simple steps outlined below:
Step 1- Follow the social distancing markers in our Foyer. (Broad Street)
Step 2- Use the hand sanitizer as soon as you are admitted into our Member Experience Lounge.
Step 3- Follow the social distancing markers in the members’ queue.
Step 4- Proceed to the teller wicket and complete your transaction.
Step 5- Use the hand sanitizer station as you exit.

Kindly note we have restricted entry into the branches as follows:

  • Broad Street – No more than 15 members in branch.
  • Manor Lodge – No more than 8 members in branch.
  • Black Rock – No more than 6 members in branch.
  • Six Roads- No more than 6 members in branch.

I DON’T WANT TO VISIT A BRANCH, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

We encourage our members to take full advantage of all our free electronic services to reduce human traffic in our branches. Some of the available services are:

  • Telephone Banking.
  • ATM and Point of sale transactions.
  • Internet Banking.
  • Mobile Banking with free bill payment to all SurePay partners.

I AM AN ESSENTIAL WORKER WHAT ABOUT MY SALARY PAYMENTS?

We have made special arrangements for updating the salaries of essential workers during this difficult period, if your salary is not available as yet you may contact us at 430-5908 or 430-5909 or use the email address payrolldepartment@cobcreditunion.com.
If your employer has not taken advantage of this service, you can ask them to contact us using the information above. 

CAN I STILL MAKE DEPOSITS TO MY ACCOUNT?

Yes. During the period February 3rd to 10th our ATM and night deposit facilities will be accepting deposits however, please note that there will be a delay in posting these funds as we are required to limit access to our branches . Withdrawals from our ATM machines will not be affected during this period.

I WANT TO TRANSFER FUNDS FROM MY BANK TO C.O.B IS THIS POSSIBLE?

Yes, you can. It does not matter which bank you use. Using your bank’s online services, please see the information that you will need to use to ensure that your funds reach us at our accounts with the following banks:
